Who we are

The Association of Old Mahindians (UK), an independent members' association for former pupils of Mahinda College, Galle.

What we collect and why

When you use the contact or membership form we receive the details you type: your title, name, email address, telephone number, the reason for your message and the message itself. Membership applications also include your address and the years you attended the College. We use them only to reply to you or to process your membership.

How it reaches us

This website does not keep form details. When you press send, our web server emails your message to the association's shared inbox, marked for the officer you chose, and it passes through our hosting provider's mail system. The officers who deal with the inbox then reply to you.

Legal basis

Your consent for contact enquiries, and our legitimate interest in running the association for membership.

Keeping your details

We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with them. Membership records are kept while you remain a member.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw consent at any time, by contacting the President through this site. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
